Midas Franchisee
Being born and raised in Carthage, I've been a local all of my
life. At the age of 20 I was offered a job at Midas on Arsenal St.
as an auto technician because of some prior training and experience that I had. Working quickly through the ranks, at 22,
I aquired the shop foreman position, and was very aggresive.
By the time that I was 25, the owners noticed that I seemed
to do very well with the pressure of the daily business and
offered me the opportunity to purchase the franchise. I would have never dreamed that an opportunity like this would have
come a small town boy's way, but there it was! With the
help of the owners at the time and a dramatic amount of
training, I became the youngest franchisee in the system.
Throughout the years, by performing honest auto repairs at
fair prices, we have built our repeat customer base to a level that has never been acheived. Changes in the auto repair field are constant and we stay as current as possible on a daily basis with updated repair information.
When we opened in 1978, things
were a little different. The only repairs that we performed were brakes, shocks and mufflers. We were a specialty shop and did nothing else. As the business has evolded, we have as well,
adding new services every year since the mid 80's.
We have been able to keep our exisiting customers and add
many more on a yearly basis. As we grow, we continue to
stay focused on what is important, the Customer!
