LACHENAUER PLAZA FOUNTAIN REDEDICATION
On Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 6:00 p.m., the City of Watertown City Council along with members of the North Country Arts Council will gather in Lachenauer Plaza located at the intersection of Court Street and Arsenal Street to rededicate the Lachenauer Plaza Fountain.
The fountain has recently been repainted by local artist Jeffery S. Rule. Over the summer, Mr. Rule, along with 13 other area artists submitted designs for the repainting of the Lachenauer Plaza Fountain in a design competition held by the North Country Arts Council. The City Council selected the winning design and Mr. Rule has spent several weeks making the design come to life on the fountain.
The City Council will officially rededicate the fountain by turning the water back on and will honor Mr. Rule in a brief ceremony.
