A structure fire was reported at approximately 7:10 pm on Wednesday at 26901 State Route 126 in Rutland at the home of James McAvoy. The fire is believed to have started in the garage. Felts Mills, Rutland, Tylerville, Town of Watertown, Black River and Champion Fire Departments responded quickly and prevented the entire house from erupting in flames.
